There is a leak in our bathroom ceiling.
We discovered it when we returned this afternoon (7/29/10). Note: It wasn't leaking this morning.
Water is dripping from the circular vent which supplies air to the behind-the ceiling fan that blows heated air from the recessed ceiling radiator.
Since it is dripping from the ceiling, we believe that one of the pipes supplying water to other units on the line above us (1-W / 2-W / 3-W) is leaking.
In addition, the fact that it's a continuous drip probably indicates that it's a leak in a "feeder" (hot or cold) pipe, since drain water would only flow when the drains are in use, but the "feeders" always have water pressure, whether in use or not.
At present, it takes about 3 to 3 1/2 hours to fill an 18oz cup.
In addition, water is pooling at the joint where the ceiling meets the wall and in the bathroom wall nearest the vent creating liquid-filled "blisters" between the latex-paint surface and the wall that are expanding, slowly but surely.
As it is, we suspect that the bathroom ceiling (if not other areas of the ceiling, depending on if the water has migrated from a leak in another area to the most convenient opening) is probably soaked and may require replacement due to loss of structural integrity and mold.
Also, electrical wiring in the vicinity (in particular, the radiator fan) may have been compromised by the leak and require replacement.
Please make arrangements with Jeffrey Service (or any other licensed plumber) for an appointment on Friday, if possible, Sauurday, if necessary.
We've already spoken to the renters in 1W and made arrangements for access.
I suggest you contact 2W & 3W and arrange for access (if needed) when the plumbers come.
We also suggest you forward this e-mail to Jeffrey Service to avoid the usual confusion that occurs when you mis-communicate things orally to vendors.
I was ROtFLMAO after hearing what you had told Jeffrey when Eddie's negligence caused the boiler overflow on Feb 28, 2010.
In addition, if Jeffrey has to create new access points or holes in our ceiling to repair the pipes, we expect any newly-created openings to be repaired same-day.

Friday's total for Fox Management Group's still-unpaid bill from July, 2008 (almost two years ago!)...$9,552.19 from an original $75!
They've broken the $9,000 level!
Now that the 1% per workday cumulative late fee is over $92, it's really mounting up, at a rate of $460+ a week! That's more than sextuple the amount they originally owed!
It's OVER 475 (FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE) late charges, and now the amount (with late fees) is over 120 times the original bill...
Is that just pitiful, or what?
I hope for her sake that Mara's better with her library books and DVD rentals! ;-)
Personally, I think she's a terrible role model for her kids, demonstrating financial irresponsibility (not to mention arrogant stupidity) as being a good thing!
