NEW Leak (2) & Fox Management Group Defaults, OWES OVER $9,000! (#482)

Continuing from Friday...
Received call from Stephanie.
She will buzz Jeffrey at 7am, hopefully, he can do Friday appointment.

Problem was a crack in the tubing connecting the icemaker in 1E's refrigerator, which was leaking, and flooding the area under their refrigerator and sink,and of course, our ceiling. (The bathroom and kitchen share a common wall in both units.)

Plus, water may have spread to adjacent areas of the kitchen and bathroom ceiling and not yet found an "escape" route thru a vent. Thus it would puddle and slowly rot the Sheetrock. The only way to tell is when the obviously-damaged Sheetrock is removed.
Which begs the question...
Now that the leak is solved, the question arises: who pays for the repairs to our ceiling and fan unit?
It took awhile, but Mara finally responded...
As the problem is directly related to the unit owner, 1E, the unit owner is responsible for all repairs.  You will need to work out all arrangements directly with the unit owner.  Please contact him directly.

Monday's total for Fox Management Group's still-unpaid bill from July, 2008 (almost two years ago!)...$9,647.71 from an original $75!

They've broken the $9,500 level!
Now that the 1% per workday cumulative late fee is over $95, it's really mounting up, at a rate of $475+ a week! That's more than sextuple the amount they originally owed!
It's OVER 475 (FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE) late charges, and now the amount (with late fees) is over 120 times the original bill...
Is that just pitiful, or what?
I hope for her sake that Mara's better with her library books and DVD rentals! ;-)
Personally, I think she's a terrible role model for her kids, demonstrating financial irresponsibility (not to mention arrogant stupidity) as being a good thing!
