"News You Can Use", Who's Upstairs? (11) & Fox Management Group Defaults, OWES OVER $400,000! (#865)

Along with the incoherent Minutes of the Board meeting was a one-page "News You Can Use"  consisting of mindless, piddling things like "please be considerate of your neighbors and mind quiet hours."
It also contained the following...
There has been an increase in rodents in the area.
Unit owners must been diligent about the garbage.
They're not "in the area".
The rats are IN THE BUILDING, though, thankfully, not in our unit (though other units above us on our line have reported them)!
The rats aren't in the garbage!
They're coming up from the sewers (via the drain pipes) and burrowing in from the front garden (as I warned about in 2008, making the matter a pre-existing condition) and adjacent properties.
Why are Fox Management Group and the Board so hesitant to tell the truth and inform people as to what must really be done to alleviate the rat problem?
Because to solve the problem would cost money...major renovations to the building's foundation at the very least!
And, I believe it would be revealed that the money we supposedly have in the Association accounts isn't there!
Remember, according to the Minutes, there has NEVER been an outside audit of the Association's finances!
We have only Mara Feldman-Fox's word the money is there.
Bernie Madoff told his clients "the money was there".
Madoff's books were never audited properly by an outside firm.
Draw your own parallels.

BTW, The "little visitors" continue to wander overhead, primarily late at night...

Tuesday's total for Fox Management Group's still-unpaid bill from July, 2008 (over three years ago!)...$439,526.41 from an original $75!
They've broken the $400,000 level! Now that the 1% per workday cumulative late fee is over $4000, it's really mounting up, at a rate of $20,000+ a week!
It's over 800(EIGHT HUNDRED) late charges, and now the amount (with late fees) is over 2600 times the original bill...
Isn't that just pitiful?
But then, what can you expect from Mara Feldman-Fox,
someone with only a bachelor's degree in accounting and
NO other accreditation, whatsoever?
She's not even registered as a property manager, as required by law!
I hope for her sake Mara's better with her library books and DVD rentals!
But I doubt it... ;-)
